Don’t Waste Your Pain (redeem it)

If you are going through a rough stretch of highway right now, consider these thoughts. In a fallen world, pain is inevitable and if we are among those called by God to lead in some way, that pain will only be exacerbated. The question is never, “Will there be tough times?” I assure you there will, The question is, “Will I grow through this pain or will I waste it?” When we allow pain to consume us, make us want to give up or allow it to become a major source of discouragement, we waste the opportunity it brings to galvanize us in our calling, grow us in our faith and squander the powerful witness of modeling faithfulness in tough times. Conversely, when we allow pain to crush our pride, bring us back to the basics of our faith and calling and make us realize that in our weakness God is made strong, what could have been a curse is miraculously transformed into a blessing. Don’t waste your pain today…redeem it!

  1. Great post. Brings to mind the line from Romans: For we know that God works through all things for those who love Him and Honor His name. Thanks for sharing this.
