Arms Wide Open (Running to God)

It is amazing what our grandchildren teach us about God! This is from “Exactly As I Remember It.”

I often notice that people tend to shy away from church when things are going bad for them. They seem to feel that God accepts them when they are doing well but is less than enthusiastic about them when they are stumbling, doubting or struggling. Sunday night my grandson Maddox ran to me after church and jumped into my arms. They did water games at Bible School and he was literally drenched from head to toe. It did not occur to him for one second that Papa would not want to hold him just because he was soaking wet (and Papa had on a dry clean only suit). We should run to God with such confidence in His love for us. Run to Him…His arms will be wide open!
