There were some famous doubters in the Bible. When Abraham heard God was going to bless his ninety-year-old wife Sarah with a son, he fell on his face and had a belly laugh. God gave him a son anyway. When twelve spies went into the Promised Land to get a report, ten of the spies doubted they could drive out the Canaanites. Only Joshua and Caleb entered the land. Luke tells us of a priest named Zechariah who was told by an angel God was going to bless his aged wife with a son. Zechariah doubted and God rendered him unable to speak until John the Baptist was born. I guess by the time He got to the New Testament, God figured if you can’t stop people from doubting, you can at least keep them quiet.
